im new here, names saul and i am 15 years of age i have been a radiators fan for months, but it all started when my dad gave me 2 cases of record single's which belonged to my sadly deceased uncle richard whom i never knew. we were going through all of them and came across some really obscure punk singles (one was an albertos paranoias single) when suddenly dad picked up one and said "i used to love this single", it turned out to be the very first radiators from space single (television screen single version/love detective). i havent been the same since that single, that version of television screen is mind blowingly fast. i asked dad if they were well known band, he said they are probably one of the obscure british punk scene bands. i of course proved him wrong, i own TV tube heart on cd and desperately want ghost town, thingyles and mussels and the live album. i have some questions by the way..... 1. how come they disbanded? 2. why arent crashe and megaray in the new lineup? and 3. can i make my username have spaces and no numbers cos i just wanna be called "love detective" i hope you will not judge because imma kid, i look forward to meeting you all

Hi Saul You're very welcome on board. You're never too young or old to be a Radiators fan.
In answer to your questions. 1. Why did we disband. I guess we ran out of steam in 1981-When we parted company with Chiswick records, we didn't have the energy to start over again. But here we are in 2006 with an album in the can that we own.
2. Jimmy and Mark - Difficult to answer -partly they were unavailable or the general circumstances weren't right. Johnny and Jesse (and for a while Cait) are more than adequate replacements - and besides they give a freshness the the project
3. you're stuck with the user name i'm afraid

Hi Pete!
Whats up? Not sure if you remember the young guy from BCFE (did HMD in Music in 1999 and degree in 2001) knocking around Germany playing a few tunes.... Well i'm up in Sweden now......started jamming with a few local guys. Just found out about new Radiators Album. Great stuff! I'll be in in Ireland next week, are you playing any gigs or have time to meet up?
Let me know if you have plans to come to Sweden.
