The first episode goes out on Thursday 12th October at 22.15 on RTE1 and then each Thursdsay for 5 weeks after that.

I just watched this on tape and , crikey , I must be getting old but it was one of the most annoying pieces of tv I've ever seen. The constant chopping and changing of images had me , from half way in, looking away and listening to the programme. I rarely like music on screen in any form , preferring live shows or sound recordings. I liked the few archive shots of stores with racks 'n racks of vinyl. Sleeves back then really were worth looking at. Of course since I know way more than is healthy about music there was , for me, little new information.
Mundy was his usual amiable self. He used to live near my shop. I remember , before a trip to Thailand, he arrived in with a old cine camera he was bringing with him. We spent a good half hour trying to customise batteries to get it going , building up supports with cardboard 'n tape etc. Of course when he got back he told of accidentally burst a bottle of sun lotion all over it and destroying it. Another time he told of how he'd watch DVDs with the German soundtrack , just to freak out visitors. A gas man.
