Just listening to the live album on Saturday night. Great to hear such classics as Kitty Rickets and Sunday World again. Might get to see ye in June in Dublin. If not, please come to Cork. You are more than welcome!

I have Phil Chevron's 1983 recording of The Captains and The Kings on the From Hell To Obscurity 1989 Demon compilation ; see jdv.webhostingpal.com/html/fhto.htm thanks for reminding me - I`ve just played it and it is even better than I remembered! ;D I've also dug out my 7" vinyl ( pic sleeve 'n all) copy of the original single. Phil 'n Elvis Costellos version of Faithful Departed is on the other side . Hopefully it will eventually get a CD release 'cos , sadly , the grooves haven't survived the years too well

Philip's "The Captains and the Kings" is on a 1992 Demon CD called "Life In The Folk Lane", which also has great traxks by Pentangle, John Fahey, Townes Van Zandt, Bert Jansch, Loudon Wainright, Mark Eitze, Sean O'Hagan, Gene Clark etc. The Chevron/Costello "Faithful Departed" is on "Life In The Folk Lane 2" (also Men They Couldn't Hang, Jansch, John Renbourn, Sweeney's Men etc) from 1994.

I have recently remastered the Hawkins gig to CD. It now has 16 tracks and sound great!.
We are planning to release some archive stuff in the new year. This will include Hawkins (Aids benefit), Live on the Lizzy tour (Southend Kursaal, see History pt 1 on the site) and the plan 9 performance at Oxegen. Did anyone hear the 2fm broadcast of Oxegen?
