This is outrageous crap !. The Radiators Ghostown should be #1, #2 to #40 should be blank as a mark of a respect because nothing is good enough to share the same air and you can put what you like after that… Comment by StillCross | February 29, 2008 at 2:30 pm
138 Never mind the absence of the Radiators’ “TV TUBE HEART”. Brilliant though it is and great though “GHOSTOWN” still is, neither album comes close to 2006’s “TROUBLE PILGRIM”. Isn’t it time people started noticing this? Are we to see this band wronged all over again?
Note The Mellow Candle lp is the most sought after on the list They sell for around two thousand euro on ebay!

Eh, 138, are you right in the head? Trouble Pilgrim, while not completely awful is deeply flawed, and when it comes down to it just doesn't have any tunes [Honourable exception being Heaven]. It's obviously the worst of the three albums, and by quite a margin. The worst wrong you could do this band is by trying to peddle an obvious falsehood, and in this case it's just false to pretend anything other than Trouble Pilgrim being a low point for the band. The first album is half genius, the second almost complete genius [the last track kinda sucks], and the third doesn't rate in comparison to either. I have spoken!

While I'm at it, I was at the recent Gary Numan gig where he performed/mangled the Replicas album, and apart form it being utter nutse, it did make me wonder whether the Radiators would consider doing something similar - not the mangling mind - with Ghostown? Any plans??

Any plans?? It's funny you should mention it, but we have discussed doing a 'Ghostown show' mangled or otherwise watch this space. We remain very proud of/and 100% responsible for Trouble Pilgrim, but a forum is a forum for all opinions, which are always gratefully received. I find it hard to accept your argument re the lack of songs,as this is an area in which we always have had strong beliefs in. The substance is there, the chord structures are there, the arrangements are there and Philip's lyrical genius is most definitely there. A worthy companion to TV Tube Heart and Ghostown if i may say so myself
