Well it finally arrived and oh the memorories still sounds as good now as it did all those years ago ( feeling old now) BUT when I played it on my PC the track listing was so different to the sleeve ! OK the album played as listed on the cover but what came up on the techno up to date all bells ringing thingy myjig, shows what your playing gizmo etc was completely different to the album sleeve, ie Johnny Jukebox was listed as the first song, didn't spoil my enjoyment, but.........have I taken too many drugs in the past? :-) Take care Andrew xxxx PS apologises, its quarter past one in morning and I should know better.

Yep mine arived also. In mine opinion it even sounds better then the original pressing i had. More bottom end. More "heavy" (?). Pete, How come your second album was produced by Tony Visconti? Isn't he verry expansive as a producer? Or had Chiswick some money to spend because of the succes of "Driver seat?" How was it to work with him? I read an intervieuw with him and Bowie in "Sound On Sound" And it amazed me how he discribed his work. From people going round that long you would tink they have a plan when they go into the studio, but the way he discribed it, it sounded more like songs just happend by excedent and production triks also were more or less an excedent.... To bad that on both rerelease there were no extra singles added. Im verry couriouse by the song "PADDY GUITAR PADDY" as mentioned by semperfi on the "Favourite release..?" topic. cheers

re Tony Visconti when we were offered a support slot with Thin Lizzy, Visconti had just finished working on Live and Dangerous.. we asked them to invite him to the Hammersmith Odeon to see us as we were interested in working with him. As it turned out (he told us after the gig ..he was looking for a punk band..and we were it..so i guess he reduced his fee to work with us...thankfully. he was really great to work with and we learned how to serve a song in the studio

Two interviews with Bowie en mr Visconti witch give great in site in how they work www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct03/articles/reality.htmSorry the other link (about the making of Heroes (1977)) is still only accessible for members. If its free I'll post that link as well. So had Tony Visconti just finished Heroes before he recorded Ghostown?

The second article about Tony Visconti is free to view. It's about the recording of Heroes. www.soundonsound.com/sos/Oct04/articles/classictracks.htmOh and sorry for the mix-up. Quote: "So had Tony Visconti just finished Heroes before he recorded Ghostown?" Like Ghostown is from 1979 en Heroes from 1977 so I may hope that Tony had finished Heroes by than! ;D
